2026 Care Delivery Operations Fellowship
Care Delivery Operations Fellowship:
The Care Delivery Operations Fellowship is a one-year rotational program designed to prepare high-performing, early-career healthcare professionals for operational and administrative leadership roles within Kaiser Permanente's care delivery system. Aligned with Kaiser Permanente's mission, the fellowship offers professional development and immersive, on-the-job learning through two six-month rotations-one in a clinical setting and one in a national care delivery operations environment.
Location:
Fellows should be prepared to spend the first six months of the program based at a Kaiser Permanente medical center in California. During this time, candidates are expected to reside in California. The second six-month rotation will be conducted in a hybrid capacity, with a mix of virtual and in-person work, depending on the needs of the national care delivery operations division assignment.
Pay Range:
$93,400 - $120,780
*Pay range may differ based on candidate location.
Timeline:
Applications are due by June 30th.
Candidates who progress to the first round of screening will be asked to complete select short-answer and essay questions.
The first round of virtual interviews will be conducted in mid to late July.
The second round of in-person interviews will be conducted early to mid-August in Pleasanton, CA.
Selected candidates will be notified by the end of August.
The Fellowship will begin in July of 2026.

Job Summary:
The Care Delivery Operations Fellow will participate in a structured, preceptor-guided development program that blends hands-on experience with targeted learning in care delivery operations. Over the course of the year, fellows will complete two rotations-one in a clinical setting and one in a national, non-clinical operations setting-designed to provide exposure to strategic initiatives and operational execution that prepare them for future leadership roles within Kaiser Permanente.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Participate in a one-year, preceptor-guided fellowship that offers hands-on learning and professional development in care delivery operations, including both clinical and non-clinical settings. Fellows must have a conferred master's degree and at least one year of professional experience in a non-academic setting.
+ Contribute to high-impact assignments and projects focused on strategic initiatives, performance improvement planning, and operational challenges that prepare fellows for future leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente.
+ Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis. At any time, Kaiser Permanente reserves the right to reevaluate and change job descriptions, or to change such positions from salaried to hourly pay status. Such changes are generally implemented only after notice is given to affected employees.

Preferred Qualifications:
+ One (1) year consulting experience.
+ One (1) year leadership experience.
+ Experience in Healthcare
+ Completed master's degree within no more than five (5) years of the start date of the fellowship.
