We are seeking a results-driven Quality Manager to lead quality operations at our Los Lunas, NM facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the metal castings and foundry industries, along with experience managing quality systems, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring product compliance.
This role will partner closely with the site management team to promote customer satisfaction, support operational excellence, and oversee compliance with internal and external quality standards.
Supervise, train, and coordinate daily activities of Quality department personnel
Lead implementation of quality improvement programs to elevate product standards
Evaluate materials through physical and chemical testing to determine product acceptance
Maintain and distribute updated manufacturing specifications and audit requirements
Ensure calibration of testing equipment at appropriate intervals
Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve quality-related customer issues
Conduct internal audits and lead staff training on quality protocols
Maintain complete and accurate records in alignment with company policies
Produce management reports detailing quality performance metrics and improvements
Foster strong working relationships between Quality and Manufacturing departments
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management
Background in the metal castings and foundry industries is required
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
Proven ability to maintain ISO 9001:2008/AS9100C or equivalent quality systems
Experience with process improvement, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation
ASQ certification or equivalent experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
Familiarity with ISO 14001 or IATF 16949 standards
Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
