Job Description:
24/7 ProTAS, a leading healthcare recruiter, seeks an experienced and dedicated Urgent Care Physician to join our team in Bossier City, Louisiana. As an Urgent Care Physician, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients with urgent and non-emergency medical needs. This is a full-time, permanent position with top pay and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients with urgent and non-emergency medical needs
- Perform minor procedures, such as suturing, splinting, and wound care
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and lab work
- Prescribe medications and provide follow-up care as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on health and wellness topics
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in patient care
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine
- Current and unrestricted medical license in Louisiana
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records
